Most people who are into bodyweight exercises ignore these important areas and this is one reason I wanted to share this video.

this is fantastic. i am taking strength training and i have been looking for something that is not machines(we have about 6 and the class is 50 minutes). some of these look excellent to use with small amounts of weight(i’m new to a lot of this).
If your glutes are …
If your glutes are strong, you may not feel them as much as other weaker muscles when doing these exercises. If you do some exercises that de-emphasize glutes, you can make it so the glutes are the weak link in the glute exercises, and this will help you feel them more.
Squeeze your butt …
Squeeze your butt cheeks together very hard. This isn’t really the best form of progressive exercise, but it can give you a sense of where they are. When lying down, pretend you’re squatting and pushing something down with your leg and they can fire. Studying an anatomy text can also help in seeing where it is so you know where to ‘feel’ for it during the exercises.

Any suggestions on how to activate your glute muscle. I can;t seem to feel them. And how can you activate your glutes whilst squatting, particularly when you arch your back and shove your out?
