I have spent quite some time doing research on the web and reading several good books on the topic of the correct diet for humans. I have come to several conclusions in doing so and would like to share them with the community. The following are my beliefs and opinions on what a natural fitness diet encompass.
The current diet trends are not working. If they were, then the number of overweight people would not be approaching the sixty-five percent mark. This number is staggering and one that I hope to help bring down in time. One way in doing this is to look at the current diet trends and educate people on what not to believe. I just don’t understand at what point in our history we have gotten so far off the path of the correct diet. We now have to pay someone to tell us how to eat and maintain our health. I don’t know any other species that has this problem. The reason behind that is because of an economic system that is now dependent on incorrect eating habits. Doctors, hospitals, and pharmacies have become dependent on disease. Just in my home town alone, the hospital has nearly tripled in size. There are nearly twenty pharmacies for a town with twenty-five thousand plus. There seems to be quite a problem with this illustration. I hope you to can see it! We have become a diseased society and so dependent on it that it doesn’t want correction. All for the love of the money. As humans we no longer know the correct way to eat. This has turned into big business for the weight watchers community as well as countless others that I will discuss. In my opinion, if these diet fads were actually trying to help people they would further educate themselves and their clients on proper diets – the diet when we were put on this earth we were meant to eat. Humans were scavengers for food. The earth, like all other species, provided us with what was needed to maintain our health and well being.
What has happened is there have become so many experts on the topic of diets that people have become confused. There is no reason for us to be confused about what is right and wrong for us to eat. I don’t even think you need to get science involved because our ancestors sure didn’t. They ate what they knew was right for them to survive and maintain optimal health. I think the best example for this is to again turn to nature to get a better understanding of how this works. Most species, including ourselves, are given mothers milk to help us initially grow. The process then progresses to being able to eat whole, solid foods. Depending on the species, these foods may differ but the choice is usually clear on what to eat. In this modern society we have become confused on what are the correct foods. So how do you know what to eat? I feel you should look at what we could eat without the modern tools that we have today. What could you, as a Human, pick up and eat without a knife, fork and/or fire? Depending on the safety you can easily see what foods are available in that category. Fruits and vegetables are the foods we are supposed to eat. Without the advent of different technologies we could not eat grains, beans, rice, and many other countless items that many term health foods. Our bodies were just not meant for these items. If we cannot consume them in the wild, then it was not meant for human consumption – period.
The body is to be given a certain mixture of fuel just like your car. It is a perfectly functioning system made up of tiny cells that must be fueled correctly in order to have the optimum living environment. This body can take a lot of abuse for a certain period of time as it was made this way. But just as with a car, over time it will become less and less reliable and eventually breakdown do to the wrong fuel mixture. This is why it appears that someone is healthy and all of a sudden they go to the doctor and they have cancer. It has been growing inside them with the continual abuse they have put on their body. This is why I believe natural fitness involves properly fueling the body with nature’s perfect fuels. Once the addictions and emotional attachments to foods are dropped, you will feel young again. Your energy levels will increase, your spirit will be revived and you will be ready to take on the world with this new found vigor.
